Denton Tx will have the annual match April 5&6. This will be a 4 gun at 200 yds. The 30 cal guys and the HIGH tech tuner guys are planning to show everone how to shoot , so if you still think the 6 is King come on down . ;)

A couple of us from Tomball are going to make the trip to Denton.

We don't have the new "high tech" tuners that are being used as
of late. We are going to compete with the old antiquated units we
have used over the last two or three years. They still seem to
perform ok in the competitive arena.

None of us will have a March scope either. We will have to make do
with our sub-par frozen Leupolds.

We won't have a 30 either. We have to make do with our 6's.

We are used to being the underdogs especially Jackie. :):):)
When the dust settles on Sun afternoon we will see who is left
standing.

I know one thing for sure, we will have a good time competing with
our Buds from N.Texas. See you there....Vic :)

Denton Address

Could some one be kind enough to post the name and address
of the Denton range so I can Google up some directions?

The only way to get there now is::

Take the rector road exit (475B??) on US35 (about 5 miles north of Denton, 2nd one after the Loves truck stop going north). Take rector road east over the old frontage road. Go about a mile on dirt, cross the tracks and go about another mile with a quick right and left in the mess. After you pass the old familiar Trietch road on the right, Rectors turns left (north) and the range is right there. Sorry I dont have an address, but Rector and Trietch road intersection is damn close. Trietch road bridge is out is why you have to take Rector. The coordinates from the website are N33° 19.351 W97° 08.938

Advanced Denton Rifles

Tuners, frozen Leupold scopes, exotic calibers? Bah! Those are so yesterday. Dickie Pustejovsky and I are bringing to Denton the very latest in benchrest technology.
Our rifles are not only state of the art. They are also environmentally correct, religiously diversified and come with a free cable gun lock.
Our stocks use no polymers, plastics or resins. They are made out of grass and spit. The spit is generously provided by the poor in Bangladesh who receive a living wage and universal health coverage (floods, dysentery, cholera, malaria, any parasitic worm infestation, and others listed in appendix A paragraph 4,519 part w in #6 type excepted) for their efforts.
Our rifles have been pronounced kosher by a rabbi, not against the tenants of Islam by an imam and chanted at by a native American shaman. All our guns have been blessed by the pope and damned by the reverend Jeremiah Wright.
Oh, and lest I forget, our guns are solar powered. We have backup windmill generators. If it is cloudy and calm we plan to boycott the match and stage a noisy demonstration in the loading area against the weather.
So, all of you hydrocarbon addicted Neanderthals, be warned. If either of us sees any one of you in a fur coat we are going to throw Butches bore shine all over it. Tim

Hey Denton Guys

It looks like my Wife and I will not get on the road untill about 7pm Friday night, so could someone be so kind as to to be sure the gate is open. We will probably get in around mid-night. I just hope we can navigate that dirt road.
Also, I would appreciate if you could get me registered in as well, and draw a Bench for me.

I am coming down Sunday. Would somebody please PM me or post what we are going to be shooting on Sunday. I need to know what to bring.
