That "oxide" buildup that folks talk about is just wrong. Maybe it won't hurt anything but better bullets don't come from letting this happen. I'm not saying that lead oxide is harmful...I'm just saying that a better bullet doesn't come from such. Other opinions may differ...and that's OK.

Wilbur ,Agreed but I'm sure this will turn into quite a mess, by the way antimony alloys do not oxide per say..

I have use both with antimony and without.
I like the plain dead lead best. Both shoot just fine for me and my friends .
I like the way the plain lead squirts I know when I say plain lead , that its not really pure lead.
It all has some kind of other metal in it on a small scale. There is chemical lead if you want to pay the extra price . I tried that too
