Hey Lynn....I'm using Reloader 25 over Fed210M primers. 210 Berger VLD's about .005 off the lands, pointed with a Whidden die. They go out about 3,120 fps at 2,500 ft elevation from my 34" Oby.
I really enjoyed the Nationals last weekend and have decided to build a 6mm just in case I ever run into those great conditions again. I may try to make the 600yd Nationals next year if I get the new gun working in time.

Billy Copelin was using the Hoover tool for pointing his bullets and as you know he had a very good 3 days.When I was trying to figure out what was happening with my fathers lightgun Billy actually gave me some of his pointed bullets so we would have enough to shoot without any worries about running out.I gave them back to him without shooting any as Lou Murdica sold me a full box of what I was already using.
Me thinks I should have tried them but the bullets I got from Lou shot a screamer group there first time out.
At the 600 yard match the weather is all over the map.The first and second years were very good and since then we have had some real wild conditions.The 6mm's do very well regardless because of the shorter distance.
The 1,000 yard nationals was very nice weather wise and hopefully it will repeat again next year as we already know we are hosting the match.
I looked for the ad about the Joe Cowan bullet holder you used on your front rest but didn't find it in the classifieds.I will call him on friday and see what is available.
