Capitol City ,Maine held it's first "After Work" UL match yesterday. We had great weather with a nasty, chilly , switchie breeze. 10 brave souls participated, one of them a first timer, Don Patton who drove up from Brunswick for the fun. 2. Pau Bendix 246-13
3. Keith Royal 244-9

2. Paul Bendix 248-16
3 Klayton Hayes 247-12

Wow Pete, looks like you did have a great turnout, and Paul drove up for the match as well. Or had he stayed over from the weekend?

Paul, looks like you made the trip worthwhile with two 2nd's and a 1st. I bet you wish you had a ton more of that Blue Box, especially with the cost and availability of Eley right now. Of course, after your trip to Texas I doubt you're worried about running out any time soon.

Great shooting!

I was very pleased with the turnout Dave. I think Paul stayed up for the event.

Pete,
Glad I stayed in Maine for your first Tue night shoot. Might have to start early for the retirees to shoot? To get two relays in.
Glad you gave me the heads up on the Blue Box last year. The only trouble I have one brick left.
It sure out shot the $1800 Red box.
Might try Midas as it's a lot less$$$$.

Plan to shoot the next Sun, tue shoot as I need to reroof my back porch.

Gary was on fire dropping only 1 point.

Congrats to Dave shooting his first 250! The last card on Sunday he took his prescription glasses off and did great ! This match he keep improving and the last card shot his first 250.

See you the next Sun, Tue shoot.

I don't know if we could start earlier. A couple of our "New Regulars" work and have to hurry to make 5:30. I have considered moving over to the CF range. There are 24 benches over there. It would mean higher target frames I think but may be worf it. (extensions) We'll see. There is a nice scoring shed there and electric is close at hand. There is a target frame trailer as well. Should be doable. Folks will complain about flags but I am willing to do whatever it takes - - - -, even to provide high flag poles it that' what it takes.

I bet they won't be any higher than those at Hagerstown, MD before the range was filled in. If you need advice on 20' high stands you can call Doug Miller or Bob Holbruner, they have experience.:)

IBS Score is shot there and has been since 1964 and they seem to cope with it :).

Pete,

You'd be high enough over there so you could have the choice of either higher stands, or just laying the targets flat on the ground and shooting straight down?
