Dennis, what about the "big thread"? You were doing a good job of keeping it running, but then you did something that I knew would be the end of it. You started your own thread, with a disasterous result. I'm saying this here instead of a PM to you because I want everyone to know how I feel about what happened. Why didn't you just leave well enough alone? Please do not respond with "Bill deleted it himself", it may be true and prolly is, but it's a broken recoerd.
Thanks, Douglas

I was not aware that I caused the demise of Bill's big thread. That is your perception. It had been deteriorating considerably towards the end...
Bill did delete his big thread. It is not "may be true" or "prolly is"... it is a fact.
It's a broken record. That's a fact too and I don't intend to play this broken record any more.
But I will explain this one more time ...
Bill's "big thread" that Bill eventually deleted, was for Bill only to post in. No one else was supposed to post in it (Wilbur's rule). Wilbur eventually moved it from the Centerfire forum to General Discussion. Pertinent questions were being asked but those posts were being deleted. Other comments were being made and they were deleted. Somewhere around that time if I remember correctly the thread was opened (By Wilbur) for anyone to post. I started a thread posting pictures and comments Bill had made in hopes that the questions being asked would be asked as before and hoping Bill would answer them. An interactive thread. "Funny comments" being posted I could delete and I felt a continuous positive thread could have been developed. Bill did not choose to partake in this thread and shortly after deleted the "big thread".
Now everyone knows your feelings and mine. It's a broken record...It's a broken record...It's a broken record...It's a broken record...
move on...
PS - oops.. as I was composing this Wilbur responded and beat me to the punch so to speak...
It is my suggestion that Bill Calfee supporters and detractors both give this whole topic a break. Get on with life as best you can. PM's work well.
