bullet drop at 300 yds

Where do I find a chart that gives me the bullet drop of eley match eps speed 1065 at 300 yds? Searches just took me in circles or to center fire charts which didn't help at all. Want to set up my Martini MK111 for 50 to 300 yds using unertl with 11 in mount spacing. Thanks for any help.

I own three Shepherds. A 310-P22lr, 310-P22mag and, a 618-V1A 6x18x40. They are amazing scopes. Quite underrated.
The P22lr is based on a 1250 fps round.



Really any round from 1250 - 1280 works. CCI Velocitors don't. The new 1300 fps Winchesters may.
 
Thanks for the response. Now I'm trying to figure what I'm missing. Usual come ups for 50 to 100 are 8 minutes -another 18 minutes for 100 to 200 gives 26 minutes. 26 x1.047 = 27.2 inches.Evidently I'm not understanding something about shepards number. I will keep trying though.

I've shot my Suhl at 100yds twice. The first time doing so, I had the scope zeroed at 50yds. It took 50 clicks on my Weaver T36 which has 1/8" click adjustments to get dead on at 100yds. So 6" drop from 50yds to shooting at 100yds would be very close to being accurate with ammo speeds from 1050-1080fps.
 
From a 50 yard zero-

to 100- +7.5 moa

100 to 200- +19 moa

200 to 300- +22 moa

Your come up might vary a little depending on how accurate your scope tracks, but this should get you close. Since it takes so much elevation, you will probably need a 20 moa base, or 20 moa rings to get there with most scopes.

Thanks B. Havey, that gives me the information I need. Approximately 6 clicks per inch would be 288. I can get 450 clicks so I should be able to make it easily. We shoot 200 yds about once a month but 300 should be very interesting. Can't wait to see how the actual compares to the theoretical.

50 Yard Zero at Sea Level - 75 Deg’s -1,065 ft/sec – BC of .160
-7.2” @ 100
-24.22” @ 150
-52.35” @ 200
-93.06” @ 250
-148.0” @ 300

25 deg change in temp is negligible.

2,500 ft change in elevation negligible to 200, but would be 3” & 5” less drop at 250-300.

35 ft/sec ES in velocity would have an affect at all distances; with the most at 300 with 10” of vertical.

Have fun with the wind too. 2mph = nearly 7” at 300. 5mph = nearly 17” and 10mph = a yardstick.

I'm betting you have a couple of issues running here.

(1) The height of the sight above the bore & intersection of sight line & bore line. That could very your 50 to 100 yard figure from the absolute drop, maybe, I think. :rolleyes: Otherwise refer to (2).

(2) The 100 to 200 yard comeup is 18 minutes, which equals 18 x 1.047 x 2 inches.

The light just came on - I think. If B. Harvey's come-up moa are right I have the no of clicks right which gives me the right moa at 291 clicks but the no of inches those clicks give me at 200 yds is 101.5. Am I right or do I still have it wrong?

Think of your come ups in moa instead of clicks. Much easier.

Bullet drop at 300 yds

When I was shooting my BSA with a Unertl scope in competition it was 35 clicks to go from 50 yards to 100 yards. Then I got the two level front sight and I loved it. No more clicks.

This does make for cheap entertainment.

Several years ago was playing at my range and noticed my 350 yard plate was surrounded by water. It took about 10-12 shots but I was able to use the water to "walk into" the plate. I didnt adjust my elevation because squirrel season was upon me and had to turn the power down to 10x just to keep the plate in my field of view. The cross hairs were way over the plate but was able to achieve maybe 50% hits on a 10.5 x 12 inch plate. With standard velocity ammo there is a good pause between the gun report and a very light but pleasant "ding".:D Good luck and have fun,

I'm currently using a unertl 36x programmer with posa mounts and I can get 450 clicks of elevation so that shouldn't be an issue.

lion- For what its worth, B Harvey's come ups are pretty close to mine shooting 1080 fps Mine are 100-200 +19.5 MOA and 200-300 +23 MOA We also shoot some .22 Creedmoor at 267yd, 300yd, and 333 yds to simulate 800,900,1000 yds. This at a 2' by 2' steel plate with a 11" bull center and a 4" swinging X ring. For this 200-267 +15 MOA then about +15 MOA for each of the next 33 yd distances. I say about, because any head or tail wind will make huge differances at these distances. Best regards Plum
 
Thanks for all the responses! A lot of useful information for 200 to 300 yds. Unfortunately home range is only 200 yds so will have to wait to visit my brother to shoot 300. My 200 yd gun is a Rem 40X with 36X sightron so comparing the two should be fun. Again, thanks for all the information.
