Building a new range in Texas?

10 % excise tax

might get in contact with texas parks and wildlife department, hunter education branch(512-389-8142).
every time you buy handgun or handgun ammo, 10% is added as exciese tax.
this tax is returned to states for target ranges and hunter education.
with recent developments, much excise tax is going into the coffers - later to be doled out to the states.

Anything New on this one?

Just checking in to see if anything new has developed on this thread. I've been looking for a good range for long range shooting that I didn't have to cross the state to get to.

I've posted before, but have been very backed up with work and haven't been able to keep current about how this one is going.
