Building a laminated stock-Pictures

BTW guys, something TOTALLY off the subject!! My cousin has one of those commercial vacuum packers which he uses for fish and wild game and for packing clothes for camping......lots of cool uses...... but the one that caught me by surprise was packing wheel bearings!! Trailer bearings and such used to be SUCH a mess, now he just sticks 'em in a sack with a blob of grease and sucks the air out.

Voilahhh!!

perfect pack, zero air content.

anyways....back to business :)

Lynn,
There is a horizontal piece of cloth between each of the six boards or 5 sheets. You can cut it with scissors, but they don't last long. Remember, fiberglass is nowhere as rigid as carbon fiber cloth.

Appreciate the Document Butch. Thanks Kevin

Kevin, if you want to explore more possabilities with this start looking at the shops that make high end radio control gliders. Many now are quite large but lite and often are using composite wings that require exotic composites and vacuum bagging for thin but strong construction.

Tim,
that is a good idea. I will see what I can find here in OH. :D Thanks Kevin

Butch ...

He did have to repair it after I kicked it and another time when I dropped it. You won't believe the words that young man used on me. I guess he was practicing for going into the Navy.

Please ... for some of us who were in the Navy the words you are possibly referring to are known as Colloquial Expressions and only used when there was a need to get someone's attention and/or when they didn't respond well to or understood English.:D

Art,
That is exactly what Kav had in mind. For you that don't know, Kav is a LtJG and is an insect specialist. He has volunteered to deploy and is getting ready to train with the Jarheads and then to Afganistan. He will help set up a new forward base. I may have told you before that he has a wonderful Chief and in turn has a great group of troups working for him. Keep him in your mind and prayers.

452 Trigger Update PLEASE!!!

Thanks Dave,
I have been busy. We are about ready to introduce our 2oz CZ rimfire trigger and a new lightweight base to go with our rest tops for the FClass guys.
I need some range time and hope to attend more matches this year.
Butch

Hi Butch, very nice stock by the way.
I checked in with you some time ago regards the trigger, at that time you were having dramas with the bolt release. Could you give us an update.
Regards Rob

Bob,
We did a complete redesign. Our other design made a wonderful, crisp 6oz trigger and a sorry bolt release setup. I believe we are about ready to do another prototype.
