Bud Pryor recap

Dick Grosbier

Club Coordinator
The 18th Bud Pryor was enjoyed by most if not all who attended , weather was beautiful with it getting warmer and muggier as the event progressed peaking at around 93 degrees on Sunday. No rain and a pretty good amount of quickly switching wind kept things tricky all three days of the shoot. We had 50 guns on the line, a pretty good turnout in these times of expensive gas which it appears to me is greatly inhibiting travel to multi day events.

Dean Breeden and Roy Hunter shot the only 750 scores for the weekend. Dean won the Grand Agg. with a fine 750-34x score. I have just researched back to 2004 which as far as the IBS webpage has results for and find most years nobody shoots a 750 or at most one person. In that time dual 750's were fired on only two previous occasions. Not to diminish the fact that Dean's 750-34x beat Roy's Score by 10x I think it is worth noting that Roy was shooting a 6ppc, the first PPC to shoot a 750 (w 24x) since 2003. Additionally I think it is worth noting Roy was shooting one of the Wood/Carbon fibre stocks he is manufacturing which would seem to me to indicate he knows how to build a stock. Some more details Paul Bielec won the 100yd, Dick Spencer won the 200yd and Dean Won the 300yd.

In the 6x classes Gary Long was the big winner in Hunter with a 740-21x and KL miller cleaned up in Varmint - Hunter with 741-17x

The Fling Fish Fundamentals VFS / 6x Two-Gun was won by Dean Breeden with a 1485-47x
