looking for information for the use of clp break free for cleaning my barrels
thanks in advance

CLP type cleaners work great as an exterior cleaner-lubricant-protectant on firearms, but if you are looking for a bore cleaner then it will not work well on copper bore fouling.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't this stuff originally used for the electric cannons on the gunships in Vietnam?
My brother only mentioned 5" guns....
They prolly use it for everything....Marines like it because it does not attract dust/pink powder. Only verified by 3 Marines...EH?

Another Marine here (retired). As far as I know, the current incarnation of Break Free does not contain Teflon particulate. I like it as a general purpose oil and protectant but would not use it for a bore cleaner or conditioner. From what I get out of the MSDS, it is a mixture of synthetic oil and petroleum distillate.
