Bipod for F-TR?

Hi guys,

What you say if I can make the bipod just in 20.2 (twenty point two) ounces, with probably the sturdiest one in its weight class, with NO any rattle in the bipod like I've seen on some other bipods, with a unique & extra quick height adjustment (w/ fine 3 mm teeth-increment, you might never seen it before), about 5" height adjustment in the legs (from about 5.5" to 10.5"), constant width of legs approximately 20" apart, extra large feet (w/ ribs), with cant feature, and extra smooth joystick?

Yes, I am almost done with the models - these units will be tested & evaluated by some of the Best F-Class Shooters in the world, very soon.

New top development, with picatinny quick attach/detach.
Adapter (converts from anschutz / freeland / sling stud to picatinny) will be included in the package so that the user can use the JOY-pod for any stock with picatinny / anschutz / freeland rail, or sling stud* (need to know standard thread size for sling nut?)
The QD lever can be located on the left or right hand side, and tightening forward or rearward as well.

What do you think / your thought? Is it 'Ok' already? --- Will upgrade the feet & the joystick tomorrow.

Hi Larry,

Working with new feet today, see pics bellow...

I changed the old feet to flat bottom / runners. Should track better.

Almost done with the experiments, I guess that the production units will be like the one shown in the photos. Still plan to make "something slick" attached over the mat / board though.

with the greatest of respect this does not seem as nice as the remple idea of round bar stock with uplift or raised ends (like skis) hence the name ski-pod,

the various surfaces that the bipod will shoot over (unless a hard mat surface all the time) is not geared to such a small round surface (the outer edges) of your new design,

I have tried various feet before but IMO this one is better than the others. My concern is the weight. I try to make my bipod as light as possible, while it's all metal construction + joystick controlled. (without joystick mechanism my bipod could be as light as 12 oz +/-)

These have been my main criteria for the bipod:
- joystick controlled
- should work as good or better than others
- light enough, or as light as possible, but must be strong / rigid. (must accept 150 lbs+ at the highest setting with minimal flex)
- has adequate vertical adjustment & maintain the same/extra wide footprint at any height.
(I don't like 'scissor type' bipod myself because it gets narrower when it's higher, regardless of the caliber/torque).

- all metal construction if possible
- rapid & easy vertical adjustment
- must meet my standard of quality, high precision (although all handmade), no burrs, no sharp edges etc.

I'm also happy that I finally found a better/quicker way to attach-detach the bipod, and better internals.
On the other side price is not my big concern, honestly.

Ìt is a piece of art, ìt is wonderful. I've just heard some rumors there is someone wishing to ban ìt in the FTR. I can't understand why. Anyway I bought it
