Best factory .22 LR rifle

Whatever this is worth, with all the talk on this thread I did go and check my bolt. It IS blued and locks in two different places.
I have a new Savage MKII that is supposed to be very similar to an Anschutz and it has only one locking lug.

!710 Anschutz, .22 LR:

1710Dhb restocked

Here is my 1710DHb,
It shot very well as original but had to restock as it was too uncomfortable in the classic stock.
After restock and devcon bedding it now shoots even better.
best group at 50m probably .120 ctc. Average with right ammo probably
.250-.300 ctc.)

Groups don't mean anything around these parts. Maybe groups might be good for finding an ammo the gun likes before you lay down $1K or more on a case.

Most folks here shoot for score on 25 individual targets. A 1710 wouldn't stand a chance in a sanctioned match unless it was highly modified with everything except the action being the only usable part. The 1710 action is a repeater and that opens a whole different can of worms.

You'll need more serious equipment to be competitive in benchrest. My 1710 is a sporter squirrel rifle and that's why I compete in sporter squirrel rifle matches with it.
