calculate these wind drifts please. (6.5-284) a 139 scenar at 3112 or a 123 scenar at 3187 and a 120 baltip at 3150. 264 win mag- a 130 norma match bt at 3329. 7mmmag rem: a 139 horn bt at 3278; a 168 berger at 2900. 243 : a 115 dtac at 3050. my choice is the 6.5- 284 i just really like mine and am buliding another. the 7mm mag has a great balistics but is way more than you need.

I didn't expect this, but sierra 142 gr matchking at 2950 is exactly the same as the swift sirocco at 3000 fps, 21.3 inches at 600yds.

Has anyone took a good long look at the 25-06 of your flavor???? Here in the flat country of the Mid-west, the 25-06 comes to the top of the list. If you hand load then the 117 gr Sierra Match King's are the ticket. Even if you never hunt anything bigger than Deer and Black Bear, you never have to change calibers, just bullets. Never lost an animal or yote to this caliber, and never had to use a second round.

Sierra does not make a 117 gr Matchking, only 100 grain.
