Best 243 factory round for deer

Thanks for the advice to all.

My first choice was the Barnes TSX 85 grain. Then the old faithful partition in 100 grain. I have been doing some reading and I see where Hornady has a 95 grain SST (super shock tip) in their light magnum loads that has teh energy of the 100 grain partition and the flat shoting capability of the 85 TSX. Has anyone used these before?

mine is not a 243, but a Rem 6mm, I used a Ruger #1, & have shot over 75 deer here in Va. with the Barnes 85 gr. XLC . hand loaded, but you can buy the 85 gr. TSX in factory.

There is really no comparison..... since they got the bugs worked out using bands, Barnes is IT.

I particularly like the TTSX's.

NOTHING else compares. EVERYTHING ELSE is just a lead-core bullet variant.

Remington 80 grn FP Spitzer is a good hunting cartridge. I especially like the green and yellow box they come in.
