Benchrest Audio Commands On CD

I am looking for a CD that has a 7 minute benchrest commands for running a match. I want to be able to shoot and run a match by audio.

One of our shooters made one for our clay pigeon shoots and put it on an MP3 player. Surely one of your shooters there has the ability to make one customized to your match. I think it's easy for a computer savvy person to do or any 8 year old now days. I'm too old to figure it out.

A few years ago, I got one from Mickey Coleman. It has four tracks I think.
One for a 100 yard 10 minute match
one for a 100 yard 7 minute match
one for a 200 yard 10 minute match
one for a 200 yard 7 minute match.
It may have another track for the general instructions as well.
Hit Mickey up and see if he still has the cd.

Or as Mike said, for us old folks, just get a kid to help.

If you use the one from Mickey you will need an interpreter. Some strange commands on it such as, "Siss Far". ;) ;)

If you use a portable CD player be careful where you place it. At the now defunct San Gabriel Range we tried the CD on a portable player and found out it would skip forward during the time period due to concusion from muzzle blast giving us somewhat shorter firing periods than the 7 minutes. Needless to say we had a few aggravated shooters who needed the full 7 minutes to complete their groups. You will need to isolate the player from the noise. In our case we couldn't do this so I converted the CD to tape and the problem was solved.

I have the commands by Mickey in MP3 format. This works much better as you don't have to worry about the skipping. I can probably email them to you if you want them.

Roy. You should get a woman with a sexy voice to make the commands. Mickeys voice is gettin awfull.

Thanks for the advice Gene. I will have to test whatever system I use on a weekday. Cecil has been kind enough to send me a copy.

Keith,

I am the person who had the files professionally created for both the NBRSA and the IBS. They are MP3 files and are clocked to exact times, as long as you use an MP3 player. If you will e-mail me your snailmail address, I will send you a CD of the MP3files to put on your computer and transfer to an MP3 player. davidhalblom-bugtyer@att.net

David,

Thanks for the offer but I just received those same files from Cecil on a CD. Thanks for having this done as it will make running matches alot easier.

David,

Can you recommend a good, inexpensive, simple, easy to use MP3 player? I tried an RCA and it's a disaster. I like the recordings for use but being able to easily access them is an issue for me , so far. Will the MP3 format work accurately when recorded on a CD Disk? I tried an " i" something or rather but one has to be a Real Teckie to run them ! Fortunately I found a young fellow who bought it from me. Thanks Eric !

Thanks,

Pete

If none of the above works contact Jerry Stiller. When I used to shoot at Denton he had one on a CD that allowed him to be at the firing line to shoot the matches as well.
