Frank,
From where I sit, my perspective is showing me, many egos clouding the water, and making communication difficult. And you, are one of them. If you could take a day off, clear your head, get into a centered space and re read some of your comments. I think you would then find, they are as full of ego as any that you complain about and judge.
We all can go there when our buttons are pushed. Your button has been pushed. LD's button has been pushed. NOW, my button has been pushed. Egos are in charge now... and it's not a good thing.
We need to notice when we are "not our centered selves", admit it, and say we are sorry, and move on. Sometimes that is very difficult, because the personal attacks hurt deeply. Sometimes it just won't happen and folks just keep attacking, and yes that is how organizations fall apart.
You keep saying the organization is "made up of us shooters", I would like that to be the case. It is not the case now.
I totally agree with your goal of "accuracy and not egoism", center yourself and really go for that goal, not just say it... we all need to do that, and I'm sorry when I'm not doing it myself. I hope everyone and anyone will call me on it when I'm not.
Thank you for your concern for the sport, I know you care about it as much as LD and I do. Yes, LD is my friend. We don't always agree, but we respect each other enough to argue without personal attacks... and we can agree to disagree without hard feelings. Respect is the key here. Find a way to respect the ones you disagree with and egos can stay out of the fray.
