My dad and I are almost done with this action so I thought I'd post a few pictures (it still needs to be polished and the bolt stop is temporary):







It's set-up for a BR but we're undecided on the caliber. Since we already have a couple of 6's it'll likely become a 22 or 30 (possibly a Dasher or BRX).

Did you happen to take any pictures of the different machining steps when making the action?

Thanks guys. I forgot to take a picture of the bolt but will do so this evening (it's similar to a Hall; the lugs are the same diameter as the bolt body).

We'll be making another port action from 416 stainless this fall (PPC head). If folks are interested I'd be glad to photo document the entire project. We also cut out own chambering reamers and dies so I can include those steps too.

Someone PM'd me on the bolt handle so let me clarify. It isn't held on by just a set screw....we used that for alignment prior to welding.
