Bench Rest Pistols

It's an upgraded locking ring for the Leupold BR36, its function is to take out the play inherent to the system Leupold used.

Or if it's NOT, Da Man will correctify me :)

Wally , these are wonderful ... did you build the stocks on these?

DanL , was the rear bar just Screwed /bolted to the grip? removable?

Trooper , was the bar on your grip Alum /Steel ? Did you use any special filler around the bar?

As I said in my original post,I did not do the paint job on the fiberglass stock.
The blank was from Lee Six, but I rebuilt the front part to get the flat 3" wide fore end to better fit the bags.
I did laminate the walnut and sent the blank to Bishop for the rough shaping but unfortunately neglected to ask them to leave the fore end 3" wide.As I found out when using the finished gun in our matches, that narrow fore end was not the best way for a gun to be used in BR shooting.Being that it was made in 1968,I guess I was still a little green on the subject:eek:
BTW there are a number of barrels in calibers from 17/221 to 6BR short and three bolts. Both the barrels and the bolts are interchangeable between the two actions.
