Bat Bore Guide

In no particular order:

Dave Halblom (515-274-5833)
Mike Lucas (803-356-0282)
TK Nolan (I don't have his contact info)

All 3 are super good guys and easy to work with.

Chet whitebread hands down makes the best bore guide i have seen or used. wonderful concept, and half the price of a nolen. lee

ps i have a lucas guide i can make you a heck of a deal on, if you need one quick.

I would like to add one more thing about my experience with bore guides. A while back i had some carbon issues in one of my ppc barrels so i selected to use some Remington 40x pumice type cleaner. While working my rod back and forth in the bore, i could hear the rod dragging across the throat with grit in the cleaner. It sounded awful!! It really opened my eyes as to how a bore guide needs to work. I feel like you really need a bore guide that centers and supports the rod in the center of the chamber so you dont have any rod drag across the ever so important throat area of the barrel. The Nolen and chet's guides are the only guides that i have used that actually do what they are supposed to do. Im sure there are others out there but i haven't used them. Dont go cheap with a 15$ bore guide. its a waste of time and it will ruin your 500$ barrel. Lee

Here is the guide Chet makes. its ever bit as good as TK's and a heck of a lot cheaper. If you can see the button on the forward piece, that button locks into the bolt release on the action so the guide can not pull out. Rock solid and straight!! I think there great!! Lee

Also the piece with the button is adjustable. it slides back and forth so you can fit it to your action perfectly, then set the set screw, so it doesn't move.. This is a really nice set up!!
