Barts bullets

I kind of wasted an afternoon yesterday trying to make a really crummy Unlimited barrel shoot. This is the first barrel that I have had in a while that is simply dead on arrival. It is locked into about a .250+ 10 shot agg capability.
I put one of my proven barrels on rather late in the afternoon, and shot equally good groups, (mid to small 10-shot "0nes") with both my Bruno 00's and the Barts .790. I did have to go up about .4 to make the Barts really tighten up, which surprised me. Even though they are at 65 grns and shorter than the Bruno 00, they are at least .0005 tighter for the first 1/8 inch or so. They are also a tad tighter in the ogive, I would say about .020 in to get the same seating depth as the Bruno.
I need find another good barrel, as the one I put on is the one I will be shooting in the Gulf Coast Region Unlimited, and I don't need to be tossing rounds through it testing.
If any of you guys out there have a good .237-4-groove 13.5 Krieger 1.450 Unlimited that has seen better days, I can chop about 2.5 inches off of the chamber end and get some life out of it, for testing if any thing else.. Many of mine are working on about the third set-back, and have just about had it.
I probably need to break down and buy a couple of new blanks. But this newest one is such a turd, I am a little leary.........jackie
