Barrels and Tuners???

Hello All,

I have been asked by a few different people if the "device" I'm working on will be able to be used on a centerfire. I would certainly, like to be able to offer a version for the centerfire shooters out there. But I would like to ask you gentlemen a question. What profile barrels would you like this device to be able to fit? As this will drive the basic design of the attachment point for this device.

Best,

Roger

Of course, the single big concern with centerfire shooters is that what ever is placed on the barrel, the Rifle still must make weight. Since we do about 75 percent of our Bag Gun shooting with a 10.5 pound Sporter or LV, then shoot for a profile that will allow that.
I use standard Krieger LV profiles, and just cut about 80 percent of the "straight" from the chamber end. This will leave a barrel that weighs about 76 ounces at 21 1/2 inches. This leaves about 6 ounces on my Rifle for the weight of the tuner. Since I do not know what your design is, I can't comment on the means of attachment.
I might add, a 76 ounce barrel knocks enough weight off so I can add a 4 ounce brass butt plate to get the balance back where I like it.
Hope this helps..........jackie

General consensus at this time is .900" at the muzzle
