Does anyone have ideas or opinions about who is the best barrel makers for this caliber?

I would think Barret Rifles would be the best place to ask.
Of course, any reputable barrel manufacturer can furnish a barrel blank with a profile that offers sufficient material around the chamber end. For some reason,I suspect the usual 1.250 would be a tad small.
I looked at the ballistics of this beast. A 400 grn bullet at 3250 fps. That will get your attention on both ends of the Rifle........jackie
 
Thanks for your reply. Definitely would think both ends of this rifle will be bad! I was thinking about pac-nor or Kreiger.
 
Krieger Barrel?

I think Krieger makes Barretts barrels but I could be mistaken. I would call Barret and see what a replacement costs.
 
Sorry, should have been clearer. It's going to be a custom bolt rifle, chambered in the 416 Barrett. Thanks Chris
