Had a forum member tell me the barrel tenon lengths are the same for a Remington 700 and a Remington 600 action. Just wanted to confirm this....thanks in advance

They are the same. In fact, the 721-722, 600-660, Model-7, and 700, both long and short, all share the same tenon.........jackie

Isn't it good to know you can have an XP-100 in 375 Ultra just by screwing on piece of take-off barrel from a big game rifle .

I'll bet you don't. I shot one in .458 Win. with a "medium" load and it was not pleasant.

The Tenon
While all of the tenons are nominolly the same, as in the same length and the same thread, the faces of the bolts are different to accomodate the difference in rim diameters. The .375 for the 222 class, the .473 for the 308 class, and the .537 forthe magnum and ultra mag class.........jackie
