I'm not happy with the results when pulling the lead out of a live round.The slug always seems to get some damage.Has anyone been sucessful in obtaining slugs from Eley or one of the other ammunition manufacturers.

Wolf was easy. The Eley match was much tighter...I ruined three before I got one measurable.

a friend of mine had a slick set up. he had what i believe was a piece of delren with a hole perfectly for a eley bullet. i put the bullet in the hole and popped the case off it. the bullet was almost perfect when he got it out to slug a barrel then.

Eley sells slugs but they are not always available. Call your friendly ammo distributor.

Eley puts a bullet puller in every box. 
The plastic insert that holds the shells usually works great.
Don't try to Puul the bullet just wiggle it back and forth in one of the holes and it will pop right out.

What do you do with the slugs?
Basically, you push them down the barrel to check for tight and loose spots.

I heard 22 CF lead bullets work "great". I also know a smith who cast a large size 22CF bullet. For a slug.
