Availability of an extension for my 44" Dewey rod in 22 cal?

My mental image is different than this...... based on my own scarred hand and my son's finger where he shoved a splintered aluminum arrow through it, I picture impaling your own hand as more likely than hurting the stock. :)

I like the sleeve though. Should help a lot.

Plus I know quite a few muzzle loader hunters that have had some nasty incidents when the ramrods snapped, one in particular suffered nerve damage.

Hey Al,

Who was talking to you anyway?

I really was having a good time with LH Smith and all the other comments on this 2nd page. (including yours about the fractured handle.) I was telling him the truth that I really did burst out laughing and appreciated his honesty. I think he's the kind of guy I could have a good laugh with over a beer.

If LHSmith had a problem with my last post and took it wrong, he could have told me so. HE DOESN'T NEED YOU to do it for him. As it turned out, he has already added a response to this thread but made no mention of it. Maybe it's YOU being the one with a problem? Where I had found LH Smith's comment to be amusing and welcome, yours wasn't. Neither do you need to keep telling me how ugly my rifle stock is. Ok...I got it! I already told you on page one that I respected your personal opinion and that it was "fair enough". Where as I had generalized but did not name anyone in particular, you sir have went out of your way to attack me. Your latest post was condescending, and I don't need you lecturing and belittling me in front of the others on this thread any longer.

Fred and Lynn, thanks for the input.

Lynn, I can especially appreciate the manner with which you made your point clearly, but yet in a respectful manner.

I believe the technical and pertinent info about extending a 22 cal Dewey rod have already been answered, and this thread has run its course. Except for the one exception, I really did come to enjoy this thread and appreciate the input even though I ran you guys off the map and off tangeant at times. :)
