A beautiful 70 degree day for a match. Well the boys showed up from Houston and brought their winning ways with them. But as you can see above Steve defended Austin with a good showing. He thanked Jackie for not increasing his own ARC record. A good time was had by all, but we missed the Burnet crowd. Well, maybe next month.
We had some new shooters show up as well; Paul France, Tim Peck, Tommy Maegen, and Dan Blair. Welcome aboard!
The famous Austin Rifle Club "Hi Score" coffee cups for 2014 were awarded to Steve Young for his "VFS" of 250, 19X. The High "Hunter" score cup went to Curt Gallaher for 249, 15X (his second). Congrats to both and fill it with great coffee.
Just a reminder...if heavy rains are forecast for the Austin area on the day of the match (last Sunday of the month), look on this forum Sunday morning for a range cancellation notice. If no notice, the match is on. During heavy rains the ARC range is prone to flooding very quickly.
