At the Vermont State Score Shoot

this past weekend, Peter Hills (kinda of a quiet fellow from Maine) shot a tentative new 100-200 yard aggregate world record in IBS Varmint Hunter class with a 500-17X. The current record is 499-22X set in 2004 by Al Kogoy Sr.

It was a tricky weekend and some had it figured out, and Pete was one of them. Congratulations! Everyone will now be sporting flannel shirts. --Greg

Randy Jarvais makes sweep

Randy Jarvais continued his fine shooting for 2008 by sweeping the 100 yard VFS, 200 yard VFS and Grand Aggregate VFS with a record tieing 500-38X.

Great shooting Randy.

And let us not forget

Scott Garman. Scott is a newish shooter shooting a Mohawk in full 308. He won the Hunter Class with a nice 492-14 for his first State Championship win. I was very pleased to see him get the win and do so well in challenging conditions. He did particularly well at 200 with the high 6 power score of the day. Good Shootin Scott!

No, I can't get the time off from school, although I wish I could, I wish I could, I wish......

Thanks to all for the fine thoughts, Randy J.

Seeing you win the 200/300 yard Nationals, then the beating you handed out at the Vermont State.... :)Well, let's just say it's more fair for the rest of us if you stay home. :)

I guess my call to the school board worked.:)
