ok i might be done now, not really. last post was me getting an ar15.
bought a colt LE 6940 CARBINE. 3x32 nikon scope w/ nikon mounts,
trued up, timney 3 # trigger, whats next ? I'm guessing a barrel.
let me know
 
Shoot it. Don't fix what isn't broke.

You will know a lot more after a trip to the range.
 
Steve, idont know what you are going to do with it but try it out before a rebarrel. i bought an m4, 7 twist and worked up loads with 69 gr matchking,sierra 60 gr hp varminter#1375 and speer 55gr full metal jacketed bullets. it shot all of them far better than i expected.
 
69gr SMK's, Reloader-15 and Rem 7 1/2 or CCI-450's and it will surprise you how good it will shoot. I have one just like yours and it is fun to shoot.

Steve, Try 77 gr matchkings with 2520 ball. Will surprise you out to 700 yds. The 55 gr old milsurp shouldn't shoot in the 1:7, but it does. Kids out here last weekend were hitting rolling balloons out to 500 pretty dern steady. Charlie p.s. did you ever guide tarpon down there?
