Anyone in the NorthEast up for a match next weekend, 5/26 or 27?

I just found out my schedule is clear for next weekend and I know alot of the NE shooters will be struggling to find enough matches to get their 15 targets in for the Scoreline. We can shoot 6 targets either Sat. or Sunday, whichever works for the majority. Let me know here or e-mail me at TKBanks98@aol.com.
Hope to see some of you at the range!

Hay people . The FT in Conn. was canceled so lets get some shooters over here for a good day of shooting . We can get at least 6 targets in . Hope to see you all . Rick

Just looking on Mapquest

It looks to me that if we could find a venue around Concrd, NH, it would be, more or less, central for those who are actively competing in Airgun Benchrest in the Northeast, excluding the 2 hour drive I have to Augusta but this is a given and a penalty I accept for living 4 hours from the WORLD.

Good point, Pete. Now who do we know that lives in Central NH......Dan Brown, how many benches can we fit in your back yard??!!:D

Yea It wood be nice if we had a range in southern Vt. or Central Mass. But we do not .

I've been trying to figure that out for years.

I've got plenty of land situated just 5 miles from the main drag (NH Rte.3) running through Nashua, NH. It's already Zoned Recreational, plus is under a Recreational Use Easement with parking for about 50+ cars, campers and the like already in place. And then there's "the Bahn" which would make a perfect Club house.

The problem is twofold: even though they're there, there's no functioning utilities of any kind,
plus there's no way for my to justify such an expenditure with my wife.

Of course, the electricity could be taken care of with a simple phone call and that would be turned back on, but to have the water turned back on would require spending bundles of money as a new septic system would be required. And of course, then comes the little bit about building a range from scratch: you know, the 12 to 16 benches, covered shooting line and all.

As I said, it's been on my mind for years, and almost happened back in the '90's. But, with me now being 62 and in less than perfect health, the more years that go by, the lesser the chance of seeing it happen.

Oh well, it ain't over yet!

I would but, my backyard isn't quite level enough and I don't have benches or a suitable backstop.

It's pretty hard to find a town of any size at all that does not have some kind of a Gun Club. Perhaps there is one allready existing that only needs someone close by there to join and acquire some dates for the range. Benches are often a problem but hey, I have bought a couple of benches at some clubs I frequent and might be convinced to buy another.

With regard to septic systems; Porta Potties work miricles. Most Campers are self-contained, to some degree.

What we need to attract is a guy who has unlimited funds who will front the $$$ like has happened at a range or two in other states.
