Stop up to Central PA, we've got all you could want.

I looked at the forecast last night for my home and it was calling for 5.5" over the next 48 hours. This after 4 or 5 days of rain already. And so far, it looks like that forecast was holding up pretty well. If we haven't gotten all it was calling for, we're not far from it.

If somebody wanted to truck a bunch of it down south, we wouldn't miss it.

Sure as heck wish it was possible.............! Us Okies, Texans and Kansas folk SURE need it something terrible.

About to simply burn away...............Frown.
At least the temps are moderating..... This whole week has been in the mid to low 80's for highs.... That alone is a blessing.

Come on RAIN..!

Caroby,

I'd be happy to send it if I could.

I have a sister who lives down in Dallas, she's had about enough of 100's for a while too.

Now, my brother was just out in CA for 4 weeks on work, in "Mecca CA". The lowest high temp he saw there for 2 weeks was 116! He was telling me it would be 105 or so when he'd go for a run at 7pm. He's lived in NH for 30 years or so, so, that was quite a shock goin there! Looking at the forecast, it appears to really be cooling down now. He said he saw 123f a few times. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...GX&textField1=33.5717&textField2=-116.076&e=0

I've been reading today that there's not as much danger of flooding as was expected earlier. It's still plenty wet, but not going to hit 100 year levels I guess. When I heard today that the river here was to crest at 29' on Friday, I was a little nervous. I remember numbers like that from when I was in grade school and that pretty much put this area out of commission for a while.

Wait'll you start gettin rain down there. It's probably going to come 10" at a time...

We need some rain here in central Illinois almost as bad as the boys in Texas and Oklahoma. I can see fishers in my ground that are at least 2' deep. Its crazy!! Lee

Why can't the government spend 300 billion on a water transfer system to take water across the US to the areas in need...we send Natural Gas, Oil, and fuel in pipes across the US I think moving water would be a fantastic idea the romans did it..we can too!

If you go to the grocery store, bottled waters more than $4/gallon. So, you'd think with the reduced environmental impact of a spill, this stuff would be like "clear gold" without all the hazards.

Of course, if you got it from PA now, there's a good chance it might be flammable, with all the gas companies muck'n up the water up here.

Can't we hook up water pumps to our end of those oil pipelines from Texas, and reverse flow on alternate days??? I was looking forward to the opening of a great gunstore (Mudge's) in Prattsville, NY, on the way to a construction job I go to, and the word is, the whole building went into the river last Sunday. Road has been closed for more than a week, and today, it's pouring again.

Please don't even suggest such a thing. If the government did it the cost overruns would make it 450 billion and it would leak so bad you would probably get 5 gallons a week in Texas.

Yes Dick, but just guess what those 5 gallons per week would cost! Great profit for someone in TX!

Im in N MI and could use a couple inches anytime now. We have had here (much different 100 mi away) 0.43 inches in the last 25 or more days. We went a spell in Late May--June where we got none in 26 days. Sand and it goes fast. We could get 3" overnight (8 hrs) and would not see a puddle when the sunrises.
