I have searched for a firing pin for my 164 sported, Do any of you know where to find one? Thanks..

Are you missing the firing pin or is it broken, or are just experiencing an abnormal amount of misfires? I have a 164 ( mine is stamped Savage/Anschutz) the bolt and action are the same, I believe, as the 64 match rifles from the same time period mid 60's to mid 70's. Savage was the importer of that unit at the time, Mfg by Anz. It is possible to tear mine down to make a drawing of the pin if need be. You could also check with Neal Johnson if 10 ring was no help. Wouldn't hurt to call Champions Choice or Champions shooters supply or precision shooters supply or possibly Pilkingtons in Tenn. There is another importer, but at present I can not remember the name, senior moment, becoming far to prevalent.

Firing pin is splintered on the end, causing mis-fires. Realy need new firing pin. I will re head space it when I find new pin. Thanks..

I have a firing pin out of a old Savage/Anschutz M64 that may work for you.
