Anschutz Ceramic Gun Coating?

They're a couple of dismissive answers considering that you're talking about the most consistently successful accuracy firearm manufacturer in history.
 
Dry is good!

Hopefully, it doesn't smell bad either. At least they don't talk about "penetrating the pores of the steel". Wasn't that a claim for Frog Lube? Oh, but Frog Lube was biodegradable and "totally natural".

If this stuff works, I might have to get rid of that bottle of Break-Free I've had for about 35 years.

I really don't think Anschutz would be pushing Snake Oil.

Sure would like to know what ceramic lubricant really is.

I am just having a hard time with understanding the "ceramic" part, I assume this is nano technology with boron nitride (what ever that is); however if it contains Teflon, I would not use it on a firearm because Teflon in my experience burns and causes parts to stick. Seems like the bicycle folks like this stuff.

I am going to the Shot Show and always visit with Anschutz. Might have to practice my German.

They got back to me and will be sending some for testing. I will be sure to let you know what my results are. I am planning to treat all of the action parts of a "stock" Remington 700, and testing bolt operating force with an old Chatillion trigger pull gauge that measures to 15#. If that result is favorable, I have a couple of custom action s that I plan on trying it on. Evidently Champions Choice stocks it.

11.00 for the lube and 14.25 or so shipping. It'll have to wait until I need something else to go with it. If a dry lube can be effective on tight custom actions I would be all for it. I would continue to use a high pressure grease on the lugs, of course. Several products have been introduced to address the "sticky" feeling that BAT bolts are prone to. At least one of the new products is nothing more than pharmaceutical grade "sweet oil" which is olive oil.

If you look at some of the related products the last link leads to you probably would indeed think "snake oil"

BTW, I use Daveyyy Dohrrmannn's sizing wax or Imperial sizing wax for SS bolt lube on some of our wet cool days...

It doesn't come up the same today, but I swear to god, yesterday one of the products had a link to a related item called "Personal Lubricant"! I really did laugh out loud.

The Walter products included "Coolcut aerosol gel". I'm guessing you spray it on whatever you want to cut, turn or drill. Sounds interesting.
 
I got some and sofar ave applied it to bolts and in bolts of a couple rifles.
No visable film or residue but everything is quite slick. Lot to like in that regard so far. It is reccomended primarily as a bore conditioner, I plan on trying with a sparerimfire barrel in the spring but, heck, simply as a bolt body conditioner....this stuff is great.

For whatever it's worth, going to a dry ceramic lube was the best thing I've ever done for my bikes. No idea how that translates to rifles though. :p
