Another Redfield Sight question

New question.

Does anyone use the Merit adjustable aperture on the Redfield International rear peep sight?

Do they work well? Run about $50 and was wondering if they are worth it.

Thanks

Larger may be better...

Years back when scopes were not much in use, one of the sight companies, Marble I think, did research and determined that the then trend towards smaller holes in the rear sight was counter-productive in accurate shooting. The eye has a natural tendency to self-center and the larger opening allows more light which closes down the eye's opening making for sharper focus. By all means, play with adjustable rear sight. On dark days open it up a bit more and do shoot a few groups with different settings to see what your eye likes.

Aperture threads for Palma vs International??

Does anyone know if the aperture treads for the Redfield Palma and International are the same?

I believe the International uses 7/32 x 40 threads.
