every day I scan Killough sales for rifles, look here and most major sites for bench-rest and target rifles. on Killough site you can increase the size to 200%+ one thing keeps popping up is scope mounting with what is apparent effort to pull the scope rearward enough. this has to be as uncomfortable to shoot as a short stool but time and again it's obvious that bench shooters are reluctant to shorten lop. is there a concern with resale of the rifle that influences this?

Lop

I think the LOP issue is a good one to persue. I am reasonably sure it would be easier for some of us to shoot rifles with a shorter LOP. I haven't thought about balance with regard to a shorter LOP but it is for sure an issue for a number of us. I would like mine to be a half inch shorter than they are now. I like to get behind my rifles and I can't do it easily with the Std LOP

i can only find 12.5" on the ir sporter? so it seemed the guns were not the way a shooter really wanted.

I honestly cannot think of a shooter I have seen shoot a sporter,10 1/2, or other gun in a BR stock put their shoulder on the butt, so if there's a point here I'm curious.
