All Time Best Hall Of Fame Action

another question

Will that change over time? With all the newer custom actions released in the last 10 years, will that change?

I have never seen a complete tabulation of points earned by a certain action but I'll bet a sleeved Remington/40X would rank pretty high. Also at the top would be the Panda and the Hall.Strictly a guess,at best.

It would be interesting to know how many of Tony Boyer's countless HOF Points were indeed won with that old HV Hart........jackie

Jackie,

A couple of years ago at the Shamrock, that very question was asked of Tony. He said, he figured conservatively 30-40 points. If Wayne sees this thread, I'm sure he would know a closer point total. Also, Tony has added some points with it since then.

I hope I remember this correctly. But a few years ago, Wayne was selling a Hart actioned rifle that I believe was a mate to the one Tony still has. He got the rifle from Tony. I think he told me that it had accounted for 10-20 HOF points. I sure wished I had went ahead and bought it. Wayne said it was like tony's....never had a bad barrel on it.

BR Actions

If we suggest consider the long time major Shoots, those being the NBRSA Nats, IBS Nats, and Super Shoot I'll put my money on Remington actions. Whether they be sleeved XP 100, 600, 700, 722 or 40X remington actions have been part of the BR game since day 1, since 1950.

The rest of the actions are a crap shoot. Actions with plenty of big wins would be Hall, Shilen, Kelbly/Stolle, Wichita, and one not remembered by most Mauser.
