Aguila Rifle Match?

Thanks for the imput! I'll try to order some up. I have a hunch that my rifle may like it - it likes Wolf and Fed 711B quite well, so I'll try it. I haven't tried the other "expensive" stuff under scrutiny, but I've been rather amazed at how well the Wolf and 711 shoot at the IBR 50 targets indoors. I've quite convinced that the "misses" are entirely my fault. If the Aguila performs as well, I'll be excited, because the Wolf is rather dicey to attain. Thanks.

ARA match

JRB,

I looked on the aircapital site a few days ago and there was nothing listed yet for this year... Good to see them getting started. Obviously you're from Wichita area...? Do you have to be a member at Air Cap to shoot the ARA matches? (I don't have a lot of money to spend) I'd be very interested. Are they shooting on Sundays? If that's true, I'm less interested (I'll be in church). I'll check the site again - perhaps it'll be updated now! Thanks for the tip.

Just saw the match schedule on the aircap site. I may not have looked in the right place earlier. I've never shot out there. How's the wind? (i.e., are there decent wind breaks?). I also noticed there is a RF BR match organized by George Hanson - I shoot with him in the indoor league, so I should just ask him this week!

The winds give us a little trouble. George Hanson will have a match, for sporters and more. He holds his matches on Saturdays. Check the web site for more information on the classes he offers.

Kubaceski, why do you figure it is that on the equipment lists of all the rimfire benchrest matches that you never see Aguila or Wolf or Fed 711 in the winners circle, or even listed at all?

Why are you "quite convinced" that the misses are entirely your fault? I'd like to hear your data.

Wolf is not "dicey" to attain. Check the classifieds here under Ammunition.

As soon as you get convinced about something in rimfire benchrest, you are going to have to rethink it 'cause this game is always changing.
