OK guys. heres an easy one for ya.

I have a Stiller Viper DP that I'd like to buy an internal action wrench for.
Would I be wrong in assuming a wrench for a Rem 700 would be correct?
Any particular type or brand considered better for a Stiller?
Any good tips on not destroying my action in the process?

I've swapped hundreds of tubes on Savages but I think the Stiller requires more finess. Never used an internal action wrench and I'd really hate to destroy a fine action by doing something stupid and preventable.

On the Viper, and also a Panda, be sure that your rear entry action wrench applys the torque only at the front of the action, as there is a steel insert in the front that actually contains the threads, the locking lug abutments and all of the criticle parts that "see" pressure. Although they are installed very tight, you could possibly move it with an ill fitting wrench.

I use a wrench I bought from Kelblys, it does indeed fit a Panda, Rem 700, and a Viper......jackie

I have a Viper, and use the same wrench that Jackie does. It is the best that I have seen. My advice is to call Kelbly's and order one.

Thanks guys, thats exactly the info I was looking for. Kelbys it will be;)

I have a Diamondback Drop Port on my Rail Gun, and I use the same Kelbly Wrench on it as well as Pandas, Vipers, and Rem 700's...........jackie
