Terry Shoemaker, owner of Extreme Accuracy Gunworks has been invited to Murray State Junior College in Oklahoma to put on a two week NRA Summer Course in "ACCURACY BLUEPRINTING" of the Remington 700 action. He has put on the class at Trinidad State the past two year with rave reviews. He is teaching proven methods of blueprinting, plus all the modern and current innovations. Terry's class follows Thomas "Speedy" Gonzalez on precision bedding. For those of you who may be interested, please contact Murray State Junior College or Terry for more info.

Great Classes

I can vouch for the teachers as I have attended each class when they were at Trinidad Junior College. Take a plethora of notes as both Terry and Speedy will convey as much information as possible. However not sure about facilities at Murray State (lathes and mills etc..).

Murray State College has some very clean SB Heavy 10's and quite a good number of them. I went there for a rifle rebarreling course 12 years ago or so and if I remember right the equipment was in very good shape and they stressed to the students how to take care of them. John Bohon (sp?) was the instructor and it was a very good course.

John Bohon is now.........

the head of the gunsmithing department.

They are REALLY going to be having some interesting things going on there soon.

They may even have a short course certificate on cryogenics this summer, but if not, next year for sure.

John Bohon was my instructor when I went there for the rifle rebarreling course. Good instructor and he was the one that ensured the equipment they had was taken care of EXTREMELY well. Nothing was set on the ways, guards were put on the ways during any sanding/lapping operations etc.... The NRA summer courses are a great opportunity for anyone interested in gunsmithing.

Hello guys,

Do they still offer any summer courses? Both links are not working, I could find only the Gunsmithing Course here on their official website: https://www.mscok.edu/academics/departments/gunsmithing-technology/gunsmithing-course-descriptions > Has anyone taken it? Is it worth trying? I'd be grateful for any information about Murray State College Gunsmithing courses, it will help me write my essay cv application. Thanks.

Edit:
I found the reference to Extreme Accuracy Gunworks (Terry's agency) on the Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association forum, but it doesn't seem to work either.
