We probably read the same articles because that’s about when I bought the 541-T HB. My focus was centerfire BR back then, and rimfire was something fun to do while my barrel was cooling down when practicing.
My focus now is trying to get my factory barrel Suhl in to the mid 240's, that should keep me bussy for the next few years lol.

USBR has a plinker class with a $200 claim rule!
There’s a place for everyone somewhere in rimfire benchrest.
I think club and USBR is just unimportant enough in most peoples minds to keep the cost down and fun up.
