Accurate 2230 "C"

Does anyone know of a source for Accurate 2230C powder?
Thanks

Just got off the phone w/ Western Powders. There NO more 2230-C available at the source. It was a military surplus powder and they were sold out of the stuff 3 years ago. The only thing will be if there is one of the hoarders who will part w/ some or a retailer who turns up some in a warehouse that they forgot about. Guess we will have to relish that last 8# this year. Keep for the BIG matches.

Bryan, out of curiosity just what do you shoot it in? It's almost identical to AA2460.

Mickey, Since I seem to remember Bryan has a passion for short 22PPC's, bet that is why he is looking for the 2230-C. It also works well in my HV 6 PPC. Never tried it in my LV

Here Is The Story

Back when that powder hit the market, we were told it was from pulled down Nato Force ammunition that was intended for cold weather use in case the Russians decided to make a move on Western Europe. (can we all remember those days when we KNEW who our enemies were). That is why it was double based. Supposed to burn in 0 dgree temperatures
There was supposed to be an unlimited supply. But then suddenly, someone, (rumor has it the Saudi's), bought every bit of it up.
I tried some. It was nothing special. I still think I have part of a jug left.......jackie

Then it may good in the .22Beggs. I have such a reamer ordered and two jugs of 2230C. We'll see if it's any good or if I'm any good. If it don't shoot there's a 50/50 chance it will be the shooter that's the problem. ;)

2230c

I am presently testing it in a 6 Beggs, but it worked well in the PPC , and the .22 -100

Thanks, guys.....

I have found a supply, if it turns out that I can make it work in the 6 Beggs.
By the way, Mickey, this stuff IS very similar to 2460, AND at a match last year David Ferrell was shooting H335. We compared notes, and the loads (2230c vs H335) were the same, velocities were the same, click settings vs weight were the same and the powder looked the same. He even loaded out of my measure and I loaded out of his with no change in results. Looks to me that H335 and 2230C are twinkies.
