Yep. That's what I was told at an early age. Do not talk about politics or religion in mixed company or at work.
And if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it.....
My Mom worked at the local hospital 30 some years. Nurse's Aide, Unit Secretary, and even done in the IT Dept.
She has thousands of friends. She helped train thousands of nurses. All my sister's friends are nurses.

probably still not a good idea though. can certainly shift things from safe and effective to sudden and unexpected real quick.
