Hey Dan, there are dozens of us that shoot the 30BR and 30X47L out to 400, 500, and 540yds in benchrest groundhog shoots using little bullets. I have a great shooting 17 twist 30 Dasher and have started in playing with a 15 twist. With a good bullet and light winds they are the calibers to beat. So easy to load for and those 30cal holes are easy to see out there. Each year more guys build a 30 to go along with their breezy day 6BR types. It ain’t ridiculous to shoot em that far. For us it’s becoming necessary.
