I got to test the 8208 in a 6mm br 1 in 8 twist with 108 Bergers this weekend, and was able to get velocity over 3100 fps with decent groups. It looks good so far, just wondering if anyone else has tried it in a fast twist and what theyve found. 31.4 gn produced 3117 fps and 1/2 in. groups at 200.

well it looks like I am wrong agin...

so what else is new....I figgerd that 8208 wuld be great in ppc's and BR's with the lil bullets ,,,but with numbers like that ,,this is the best thing since snuff in a can...that is aprox 150 fps more than I can get in any of my BR's with any powder known to man....and 1/2 groups at 200 shure blows up the skirt of the shooting world...thank you for shareing this with us ...I am finally gonna have to try some of this new stuff.....these modern powders with all the flame retardants and stabalizers are fantastic.....Roger

Great news. My new 6BR 8twist should be finished in another month. Now I have more variables to play with.

I was just looking at the IMR website and they have tested it with many different cartridges to include some wildcats.

How is the price compared to similar powders?

about the same for other imr's in todays market..and until the figure it out...less than n133!

Not A Big Mystery

We all get hung up on burn rates. But look at the other famous powder that can be used in just about anything, good ole 4895.

Look, I will be happy if XBR just works great in a 6PPC............jackie
