I am sure this question has been answered many times and I apologize for asking it. Is the a difference between the Remington version and the Norma version? If there is a difference, where can one buy brass?

I hope these threads will answer your question. I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking........

If you're having a rifle built just size it for the Lapua brass and be done with it.

Lapua and Norma brass are readily available.

6mmBR

Thanks for the responses. I see now I should have asked the question a little different. I am considering purchasing a Savage rifle chambered for 6mm Norma BR. If I understand correctly, because it's a new rifle the chamber will handle Lapua brass. Sorry for the beginner question.

What do you mean Pete?

I recently paid $78. per 100 for it. It is listed @ $ 96.60 @ Sinclair in the list Adrian put up. I don't find paying a lot more much fun, do you?

At those prices I will use something else like 308 Winchester cases

When I was getting started in BR in '95 Lapua 220 russian cases were $1.05 apiece............and no, that doesn't justify the increases, but it sure is a thinker. BTW, those cases didn't snug up nearly as fast as as the ones since they disappeared for a while and came back out in the .40-some cent range.

Then you've obviously never done this Pete!

Lapua at 2.00/case would be cheaper than anything else on the market..... unless you shoot under 3000........

I've got a ..308 shortened HBR round that EXACTLY matches my 30X47, in fact it uses the same sizer die. The 47 cases will make more than 200fps on the .308 stuff.
