what is your faverat loads of n133 for competion.also do you know the velocity of said loads.i understand groups are more important but was just interested in this .thanks
Favorite loads will vary per individual for various reasons per shooter...conditions....locations in U.S.A.(east vs west) Some prefer moderate...some prefer hotter loads. Speeds will vary from about 3200fps to 3500fps. Velocity is not important......consistancy is. I'd do a sign-wave test to find 2 adjacent nodes starting from about 27.0gns/N133 progressing 'til I found a high node and a low node. Some start at about 29.0gns and go up. Then I decide which node suits my needs.what is your faverat loads of n133 for competion.also do you know the velocity of said loads.i understand groups are more important but was just interested in this .thanks.
when i started, i was told .6.FYI---0.9 grains of N133 between nodes.
Nodes vary according to velocity.....the faster you go the closer the nodes(more frequent) and the amplitudes are lower. The slower the velocity the nodes are farther apart and the amplitudes are greater........all of this is in respect of time ......so grains of powder can vary between nodes depending on velocity. There's other factors involved, but this is the main.when i started, i was told .6.
anyone want to comment
then that guy has to be shooting awful slow.....Nodes vary according to velocity.....the faster you go the closer the nodes(more frequent) and the amplitudes are lower. Good luck and stay safe.

If what he does works for him and what you do works for you........that's all that matters. More than one way to skin a cat.then that guy has to be shooting awful slow.....
First, what makes you think you need to go 'up' ....mavbe you need to go 'down'.There are many things can cause groups to open up. Are the groups opening up vertically, horizontally,or a combination of verticle & horizontal. May be conditions...may be gun handling...may be thats all that rifle/load combination is capable of. I'm assuming you're using enough(4 or 5) of good wind flags. DId that rifle/load ever shoot small round groups? Have you changed Lot# of powder and/or bullets?when going up should you increase in 1 tenth or 2 tenths grain.rifle now is shooting 3 shot groups at 100 yard between 2 tenths and 3 tenths of a inch.
