6mm ppc

what is your faverat loads of n133 for competion.also do you know the velocity of said loads.i understand groups are more important but was just interested in this .thanks

Modern custom action? There are a lot of pet loads out there, but depending on the type of bullets you are shooting the charges may be a little less (flat base) or more (boat tails). Some actions cannot take hot loads like a BAT, Borden, or modern Kelbly's actions can - some of the older pandas will pierce primers due to the larger firing pin hole in the boltface. If you have any shooters in your area it might be worth checking with them to see what they recommend - Some are hesitant to give out loads here because if you got hurt with their recommended load....
And the group is definitely the most important thing vs velocity.

Favorite loads will vary per individual for various reasons per shooter...conditions....locations in U.S.A.(east vs west) Some prefer moderate...some prefer hotter loads. Speeds will vary from about 3200fps to 3500fps. Velocity is not important......consistancy is. I'd do a sign-wave test to find 2 adjacent nodes starting from about 27.0gns/N133 progressing 'til I found a high node and a low node. Some start at about 29.0gns and go up. Then I decide which node suits my needs.
As temp/humidity change so will tune......may have to adjust.
Good luck and stay safe.

i shoot a panda from 1995 .rifle was bult by Geoge Kelby back then.am sahooting 68 grain bergers flat base .am hunting groundhogs most of the time with ranges out to 300 yards.thanks for imput.as far as seatinf depth i am just in to lands .010

With those bullets, I used 28.2-28.5grs of N133. Didn't chrono them, but they were likely in the 3225-3250fps range. Barts 68gr Originals are a better bullet, and less expensive on top of it.

when i started, i was told .6.
anyone want to comment
Nodes vary according to velocity.....the faster you go the closer the nodes(more frequent) and the amplitudes are lower. The slower the velocity the nodes are farther apart and the amplitudes are greater........all of this is in respect of time ......so grains of powder can vary between nodes depending on velocity. There's other factors involved, but this is the main.
Good luck and stay safe.

then that guy has to be shooting awful slow.....

If what he does works for him and what you do works for you........that's all that matters. More than one way to skin a cat.
Also, the difference in powder lot #'s alone can easily account for,the .3gn difference between yours and his findings.....so he maybe just as fast as you are.
