Can a "standard" factory bolt (.373) be used to build a 6mm PPC...or is a smaller diameter required (and milled larger)? Which manufacturers action/caliber would you recommend for a "sporter" application with a feed magazine?
What "things" will cause problems for ejection etc.?

Call Fred Moreo at http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/. He should be able to answer all your questions. If you have a Savage in .223 he can convert your existing bolt head for $45 or replace the bolt head with a separate one for the PPC for $75. Art

I built a 6mm PPC on a CZ527 that started out as a 7.62X39 carbine. It works great and shoots great, coyote rifle. No problems feeding or ejecting. My favorite small game/varmint rifle.
