I have a friend who has a new 6x47l (26", 1-8 twist Kreiger). He found a load in 38.5 range of H-4831(I think..maybe 4350???) with 105 Bergers. Another shortrange BR friend sent him 600 68 gr bullets. Should he find a load using the same powder, or find something that burns a little faster. I have never used that wide of a spread, bullet weight wise, and have zero time with that case. He says it shoots very good with the 105's. He is one of the new guys I am trying to drag to a 1K match this summer, so I am giving him all of the "expert" advice I can muster . Maybe I can convince him to shoot the 68 grain bullets in a match....after all, the do travel MUCH faster!!!:D:D

Thanks,
Tod

Use a faster powder with the 68's

They'll shoot like crazy, CRAZY good.......

Talk him into using them at a match :D

Tod,

Mine seems to like ~39.5gr H4350 and the B105VLDs. I tried H4350 behind some H75VMax bullets and they *definitely* don't seem to play nicely with the same powder. Other people I know have indicated powders more like IMR4895 worked better for them. It's on my 'to-do' list currently...
