52C actions screw sizes?

I measured the actions screws on my 52B - and they appear to be:

1/4x36tpi and 12-36tpi - (measured at .220" thickness which may be nominally a .215" #12 machine screw)

Both are approximately 1.5" long

Are these the same for the Win 52C models?

I haven't seen these reproduced or available anywhere. Is there a source that anyone knows about? GPC is sold out, Popperts does not have them, Bob's Gun Parts also did not. Thanks!

Call Wendell @ Outback Gun Parts. He has the repros which are perfect. His number is:812 945 0480.
And yes, those are the correct thread sizes and they are the same as a C.

Welcome to the world of odd threads in a 52!
The front action screw is 1/4 - 32.
The rear action screw is 7/32 - 36.
The handrest screw is 9/32 - 32.
The screw holding in the handrest rail is 7/32 - 44.
Tolerances on thread diameters prevent really accurate measurement so these may not be exact thread sizes that Winchester intended. It seems though that Winchester used odd non standard thread sizes that make it difficult, or expensive to duplicate.

Steve is a lot more knowledgeable on Winchesters than me. However my front action screw measures 1/4-32 on the D

Don, I checked the factory drawings, and you are correct. The front screw is 1/4-32, and the rear tang screw is .220-36, They are same for B and C. The D & E have same thread sizes however length and head configuration on front action screw is different. Rear tang screws are same, however the D/E use a slotted nut on bottom instead of screwing into a knurled nut pressed into stock.

I didn't notice that front and rear were different on the B-model. I think only measured one of them and presumed (yikes) they were alike. Thanks to all the for tech info -- and the lead on replacements.

My "C" model is going into a Freeland stock I picked up for $75.

I just ordered from Wendell at Outback. He's friendly and a big help. The tang screw is correct for my model and the stock screw is "generic" for all 52 models -- meaning it must be cut by the owner to the proper length.
$8.40 and 6.40 respectively. A great deal.. but now I don't have an excuse to buy that lathe!

If you want to make the end look original, be sure a put a radius on it after cutting. The original screw had a 3/8" radius on it, with radius centerline measured 3/8" back, towards head, from end of screw.
