i am looking for replacement parts to help reduce weight in my 40x rimfire like alum. schroud (do they make one ? ) or fluted striker? or outher weight loss ideas thanks for any help

Check with DAve Kiff at PTG. He did make some rimfire bolts up some time back and used a lightweight fluted firing pin body and an aluminum shroud.
How much weight are you trying to get shed of? A fluted barrel will lighten up up too. I just began work on a custom fluted barrel for one of my 40X rimfire BR rifles this afternoon.

Parts

They make an aluminum shroud but its made for centerfire so will have to be altered, unless Dave has one but believe he got rid of all rimfire bolt parts.
An old trick was to drill out the center of the firing pin lengthwise.

Only a couple of months ago Bill Calfee was adding weight to his Winchester striker to make it a LOT heavier ;) :) :D.

The mass of that pin has a fair amount to do with the excellent ignition properties of the 40x.
